Creative Scotland bursaries

Creative Scotland are offering bursaries of between £5,000 and £30,000 to early-career artists and creative practitioners aged between 18 and 24, who have a lack of accessible support due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Financial support will be given to help artist build experience, contacts, create and present ambitious work, identify ongoing opportunities and plan for next steps beyond the bursary. Creative Scotland plan to support between 10 and 25 arts/creative organisations based in Scotland. The selected host organisations will be expected to run an open call for artists and creative practitioners between December 2021 and February 2022. PH Holt Foundation

Applications are open to PH Holt Foundation’s £250,000 Resilience Fund. The fund aims to address the negative impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on charities supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in Merseyside. Grants of £5,000 and £10,000 are available. Grant requests above £10,000 and up to a maximum of £20,000 will only be considered in exceptional cases. To be eligible, charities must have already been working in one of the following areas:

• Children and young people
• Mental health support
• Victims of domestic abuse

The Rank Foundation
The Rank Foundation is awarding grants of up to £20,000 to projects within hospices aimed at re-opening day care using new approaches to both virtual and safe face-to-face services. Projects could include: capital costs for redeveloping a day room to include use of technology; equipment, marketing/publicity material and resources; staff training; equipment for patients; telephone support and so on. To be eligible, organisations must be adult hospices that are members of Hospice UK located in Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Co-op Community Fridge Fund
Applications have re-opened to the Co-op Community Fridge Fund. A Community Fridge is described as a space where people can share surplus food, including donations from local food businesses, producers, households and gardens. Grants of up to £4,000 are available to support groups across the UK to help them establish a new Community Fridge. Applications close at 9am on Monday 16 August.
