Thursday 29 October
The first round of funding is now open for the £2 million Homelessness Winter Transformation Fund, administered by Homeless Link and Housing Justice. The funding aims to ensure that faith and community groups that provide winter accommodation can provide single room COVID-19 secure accommodation this year, and also support services that prevent rough sleeping and work with people sleeping rough in innovative ways.
Grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 are available to organisations in England that work directly with people experiencing homelessness. The deadline for the first round of funding is at 1pm Wednesday 4 November. For more information, visit the Homeless Link website.
Wednesday 28 October
The Peter Sowerby Foundation has announced the £1.4 million Increasing Access Fund. The fund is intended to support organisations to develop new services that respond to the Covid-19 situation, or to adapt existing services to meet local and national needs. Three categories of grants are available to organisations working within the areas of healthcare innovation, the arts, environment and community (particularly with disadvantaged young people). Applications close at 5pm on Monday 16 November. More information on eligibility and how to apply can be found here.
Tuesday 27 October
Applications are open for the Isla Foundation’s Tipping Point Grants. Funding of up to £40,000 is available to any organisation in the UK that is addressing the issue of homelessness. This could include tackling the root causes, re-insertion into society, or developing a response to challenges that have arisen from Covid-19. Community groups are encouraged to partner with another organisation, however, they may apply for a small grant of £3,000. The deadline for applications is Thursday 12 November. Monday 26 October
Smallwood Trust – Covid-19 Frontline Women’s Fund
Grants of up to £30,000 are available to women’s organisations and services that are supporting women aged 18+ whose poverty has been exacerbated by the pandemic or those that have been pushed into new poverty and financial hardship. The deadline for applications is 5pm on 10 November. Find out more.
