HM Government Local Welfare Provision Consultation: DSC response

In November 2014 we responded to a consultation on local welfare provision.

DSC has a long standing interest in local welfare provision. As publisher of publishes the Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need we have a unique insight into the support structures that exist to help people in difficult situations. Using our insight into the area we provided evidence and made a number of recommendations to the government, expressing our deep concern that cuts to local welfare provision is having on people in need and the charities that support them.
